Where did the time go?

Wow! There went my trying to blog everyday! I guess thats what happens when Christmas is just around the corner. Things have been a little hectic I guess you could say. Got finals done at school thank goodness. Ended up with a 3.7 GPA!! Go me lol  Kids are almost out of school for winter recess and I have been trying to get christmas shopping done and presents wrapped. It seems like the kids are not getting much this year but I think it's because they are getting older and things are more expensive. I sure hope they like what they are getting though. I know I am excited to play it!
This tuesday we have our first family Christmas party. I am excited and looking foward to it even though I know I will be doing most of the work for it. Christmas Eve is our tradition to go to Lisa's and eat dinner and then open up gifts. On our way home we always stop at Layton park to see the lights. This is a fun family tradition we have had for about 10 years I think.
Every Christmas Eve the kids get a new pair of pajamas to wear and slippers. My mom started this tradition with us kids and I enjoyed it every year so I decided to start it with mine. So far they seem to enjoy it.
Now I am off to do some Christmas baking. Making some golden graham smores, sugar cookies, banana nut bread, rice krispy treats and some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. YUMMO!!!

Another day..

It has been kind of a uneventful day. The only thing exciting about today is I took my math final and totally scored an A in that class. I must say I am pretty damn proud of myself. I worked really hard for that grade. Now one more final to go and I am done with this semester until January. It's going to be a much needed break.
As always the kids think they need to fight morning, noon, and night. I am so sick of it. It get's old real fast. I told them this morning that they were the Devil's spawn and Kyle didn't like that to much. He said "No we aren't. Only kids who kill their parents are. We haven't killed you." I said "Not yet!" LOL He still didn't think I was to funny. It was one of those had to be there moments
Nothing to exciting going on today. I'm really tired. Didn't get much sleep last night but that is nothing new. I really wish I could get into the christmas spirit this year too. For some reason it's just not the same. Maybe because I am missing so many people right now. And not to mention it is no longer what it is meant to be about. Now all anyone worries about is gifts. When did that become the meaning of Christmas? And what's up with everyone not wishing a Merry Christmas anymore? Has this world gone totally out of whack?? Now it's Happy Holidays. gag me. I will always say Merry Christmas. Jesus is the reason for this joyful holiday. We all need to remember that.
Tis the time for bed once again. Off for now.

Almost Christmas!

I think this is my favorite time of year. I love to see the snow fall and all the wonderful lights. I am hoping to make it po Temple Square before it is to late. I love going there. I am hoping to go see alot of lights so we will see what happens.

I sure hope my kids will be happy this year with their gifts. I got a killer deal on a Wii. I'm sure Kyle will be upset since he wanted an XBox 360 but I can only do what I can do! The games I got for them they should like. Now I have to get another controller and they should be set for now. Hopefully!

This year we are going to go feed the homeless at the homeless shelter (hopefully). I am really looking forward to this. I have been wanting to do something to help out my community for quite sometime now. I know it may not be alot, but I feel like I am making a difference in someones's life if only for a hour or 2. I am also hoping Kyle and Chy will see what it is like for these people to have to live on the streets not knowing where they are going to be sleeping that night or where they are going to get their next meal from. My kids have a pretty darn good life and they just don't see that so I hope by doing this they will. I would love to start doing this every year and make a family tradition out of it.

This week is my last week of school until january 11. I am so nervous about finals this week. I am hoping to continue my A in each class but i'm not to sure about that. We will see I guess! It has been such an awesome experience to be able to learn what I have forgotten and things I did not know by such great teachers. I am going to miss them next semester. I made some great friendships along the way too. I am hoping to keep those as long as possible,

Well, off for now. I need to get a good night's sleep so my brain can function tommorow for my math final.
                                  Goodnight and be safe

Hello there!

So I am new to this whole blogging thing but I thought why not give it a try? Plus my kids are getting so big and I don't want to forget everything about their childhood. I should have started a blog say... 13 years ago! It would have been nice to record everything and to share it as well.

I do hope to be able to blog something everyday. I sure know that my life is exciting with have 2 kids to keep me busy!
